I'm always proud to brag about my wife adding Life Birds! Friday and Saturday we took an overnight trip to Yakima to get away and to check out some antique stores (our other passion).

At the horse camp at White Pass she got to see her first Red Naped Sapsucker and her first Evening Grosbeak. Near Wapato we found a colony of Bank Swallows, and during an evening walk along the Yakima River she was entertained by the ballet of 6 or 7 Common Nighthawks. Four new Lifers in one weekend!

The treat of the trip for me was a half dozen White Pelicans cruising past our motel room "patio" along the Yakima River.
