Chris Simonen and I went out today around 8:30 am. The E C-dove was only
seen flying away. While not definitive, the looks we had were supportive
(size, color, tail pattern) for what Dennis reported. Having seen this
species before, I am confident that it was not a Ringed Turtle-Dove, Rock
Pigeon, nor a Mourning Dove.

The bird was still in the cottonwoods/poplars and flew off (in two flights)
possibly across the Yakima. I am surprised how flighty the bird is and how
it likes the cottonwoods. With the temps already approaching 90, maybe it
was being smart and not sitting out in the open.

One of the Northern Mockingbirds was quite vocal and was did a very good
imitation of a Western Wood-Pewee.
