Greetings All

Yesterday, Mike Fleming, Sam Terry, and I toured sw WA. Highlights
included:

107 Western/Clark's Grebes on Vancouver Lake
Steve and Tweets,
Today (July 5) I went down to Vancouver lake to check out the
grebes that Steve, Mike, and Sam had reported. By late afternoon the
skies were overcast which cut down on both heat waves and the glare off
of the water. I counted 162 WESTERN GREBES and 28 CLARK'S GREBES. There
may have been more Clark's in flock but many of the birds had there heads
tucked and I only counted the ones that I could see the face pattern and
bill color on along with the lighter body coloration.
