The NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRDS reported more than a month ago by Bill and Nancy
LaFramboise at Horn Rapids County Park north of Richland, Benton Co WA were
still being observed through 4 Jul according to Dennis Rockwell. The birds
are apparently carrying food to a possible nest inside dense foliage. Also
that day Dennis found an EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE in the park just south of
the kiosk. From Richland, take WA 240 toward Vernita. The park is located
just past the Horn Rapids Dam. Turn left toward Benton City to the park
entrance. The bird has been in the day-use area in the smaller group of
trees (locust and cottonwood). WA Delorme 39, AB-5.

On 3 Jul Garrett MacDonald and Gina Sheridan relocated the EURASIAN
COLLARED-DOVE in Washtucna, Adams Co WA. They first spotted it behind the
Pioneer General Store and eventually followed it to Bassett Park.

The female BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD first seen 28 May in Walla Walla Co WA
by several birders was still being seen through 4 Jul according to Mike and
MerryLynn Denny. The birds were at the Lamb residence about 2 miles up
Biscuit Ridge Road off US 12 from Dixie. They have a hummingbird crossing
sign along the road.

A female HARLEQUIN DUCK was in a predictable spot in the middle of the
Lochsa River more-or-less Idaho Co ID along US 12 near mile marker 167.4
east of the Powell Ranger Station according to Carole Vande Voorde and Terry
Toppins.

Good birding.
