Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday July 7. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On June 29 a BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was at the Odessa Creek Campground on
Upper Klamath Lake. A female and a singing male BLACK-AND-WHITE are now at
Calliope Crossing north of Sisters. A REDSTART is also being seen there. A
male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was seen July 2 in Port Orford. A YELLOW-BILLED
LOON has recently been reported from Yaquina Bay.

On July 1 four WHITE PELICANS were at Coos Bay. A MOCKINGBIRD was seen July
5 at the South Jetty of the Siuslaw River. That day a singing LAZULI BUNTING
was at Upper Nehalem Meadows. A LONG-BILLED CURLEW was at the mouth of the
Necanicum River at Gearhart June 30.

Two WHITE PELICANS are now on Sauvie Island. A juvenile GOLDEN EAGLE was
over Eugene July 5. On July 4 a singing CATBIRD was well west of the Cascade
crest near Canyonville.

On June 30 a BAND-TAILED PIGEON was in Bend. Six FORSTER?S TERNS were seen
July 1 at Hatfield Lake near Bend. In late June two male BROAD-TAILED
HUMMINGBIRDS were seen just north of the border south of Adel. Good numbers
of BLACK-THROATED SPARROWS were found near Coleman Lake southeast of Adel.
