Tweets,

The Yellow-br Chat near Tenino was calling/singing at 7:30 pm on July 6.
Bob Sundstrom first reported this bird in May, located 1.3 mi up Vantine Rd.
Directions: just east of Tenino on SR507 turn left onto Mull/Churchill;
continue right on Old Military; quick left onto Vantine. The large fir with
a blue diamond marks the spot. I am not aware of the bird being seen by
anyone, and the bird seems to be increasingly subtle and unenthusiastic
about vocalizing. Patience (not tapes!) is the key. On another note, five
woodpeckers are certainly do-able on Vantine. Sapsuckers are nearly as
common as flickers. Last evening I had 3 sps in one tree at this site.
Pileateds hang out at about 1 mi.

Good birding,

Paul Hicks
