The adult breeding-plumaged Herrmann's Gull was still in the Mukilteo Lighthouse parking lot this a.m. (8:30 - 8:55). The three Marbled Murrelets were floating close together in front of the lighthouse, but as soon as the incoming ferry got to about mid-channel they headed right for the ferry dock, so the ferry must be churning up a good supply of delectable morsels. There were also 3 Rhinoceros Auklets in the same area, giving excellent views through bins. I did not see the Belted Kingfisher nor the Great Blue Heron, both of which were fly-bys on Friday.

Cheers!
Judy
