Gene and all,

Stumbled across. I know the feeling. Could we be experiencing a species invasion? Washtucna - Horn Rapids - Vantage. Will there be more? Keep your eyes open folks.

Tweets,

Today, Monday, July 11, at ca. 10 AM I stumbled on a Eurasian Collared Dove at Vantage, Kittitas County (perhaps a county first?). I was eating a greasy breakfast and caught a glimpse of the dove fly up into a tree just behind the Blustery Cafe, which is hard to miss. Nancy and I tracked it around from tree to tree to phone pole. Showed the definitive marks of the Eurasian Collared as opposed to a Ring-turtle Dove. It was quite skittish. It seems to be hanging around at the south end of the camping area behind the Blustery cafe just north of I-90. It did not call.
