The NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRDS reported almost two months ago by Bill and Nancy
LaFramboise at Horn Rapids County Park north of Richland, Benton Co WA were
still being observed through 9 Jul according to Bill and Nancy. The birds
are now feeding 3 fledglings. From Richland, take WA 240 toward Vernita. The
park is located just past the Horn Rapids Dam. Turn left toward Benton City
to the park entrance. The bird has been in the day-use area in the smaller
group of trees (locust and cottonwood). WA Delorme 39, AB-5.

On 8 Jul Michael Willison relocated the EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE in Washtucna,
Adams Co WA. Always in the vicinity of Bassett Park, Michael spied it
sitting on a power line at the intersection of Cooper and "D" roads, one
block north of Bassett Park. In Grant Co WA, Randy Hill reports a single
EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE at a private residence just south of Warden High
School, east of Road U SE, along Road 9. The home owner is probably okay
with a few visiting birders-stop in and ask for permission to park or bird
in her yard as Randy believes the road in front of the residence may not be
a public road, and, it's just the polite thing to do.

The female BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD first seen 28 May in Walla Walla Co WA
by several birders was still being seen through 9 Jul according to Mike and
MerryLynn Denny. The birds were at the Lamb residence about 2 miles up
Biscuit Ridge Road off US 12 from Dixie. They have a hummingbird crossing
sign along the road.

At the Walla Walla River Delta in western Walla Walla Co WA on 10 Jul, Mike
and MerryLynn Denny report an adult MARBLED GODWIT and an adult WESTERN
GULL. Access to the delta is just north of the entrance to Madame Dorian
Park along US 12 just north of the junction of US 12 and US 730. Park near
milepost 307 and hike down to the delta. WA DeLorme 40, D-1.

Good birding.
