Hi Tweeters;
The discussion about Four Letter Codes has been interesting and
entertaining ( thanks for the humor- JOME.) I would just like to say
that I first saw the four letter codes on tweeters and was confused by
them at first- but printed out the list, that a tweeter had told me
about, and started using them! Now I would be lost without them. I've
only learned the ones I need everyday and they have been very helpful
(an example is using them for writing up data for Birds In Forested
Landscapes because you need to get allot of info into a small box.)
It's also a quick way to make notes. However I do agree with Wayne's
and Burt's suggestion for Tweeter posts- this usage would be a helpful
way to learn more codes (if people make sure they use the right ones
:o} )

In a mid-June post I mentioned a black downy chick seen by the edge of
'my' pond. Well I am happy to say that it has grown up without
wandering too far from the spot where it first popped out of the grass.
Also today I was thrilled to see a new, almost grown baby, that I have
never seen at 'my' pond before. It is a Common / Wilson's ? Snipe. It
still has some fluff around it's neck but otherwise has mature plumage.
