Larry Lock and I walked out the Sandpiper Trail this morning at 6am to see what kind of shorebird numbers were present. To our delight, the mudflats were covered with lots of birds! Here's our counts:

Western Sandpiper 4,000
Least Sandpiper 100
Semipalmated Plover 50
Greater Yellowlegs 2
