Greetings All

1) Failed to see any Sulids at Bellingham Bay today; Hopeful Booby seekers
have seen a couple good birds there this week. Steve Pink and Dennis Duffy had
an Eared Grebe there on Monday and Steve also had the Brown Pelican yesterday.
Vic Nelson had 2 BRPE earlier this month at Pt No Pt.

2) We did see a tremendous number of birds out on the bay: 800 WW Scoter, 220
Western Grebes, 105 Bonaparte's Gulls. Also had two Purple Martins, a Common
Tern, and at nearby Hale Pass, a Mew Gull. Lummi Point Rd which runs along the
Bellingham Bay's west side is a great afternoon vantage point. We were able
to survey the entire bay with great lighting. For Stan K, that's where the
PUMAs were, an ad male and ad female.

3) Doug's golden plover sounds most like a Pacific to me.

4) Eur (not Fur) Collared Doves have apparently been a boon to Short-tailed
Hawks in FL and I imagine Cooper's Hawks everywhere and have, apparently, not
effected Mourning Dove numbers. So don't blame foreigners for everything.

Cheers
