Hello all,
There has been a White-winged Dove hanging around our neighborhood this
week - I have seen and heard it on my early (5 am) walks. Yesterday it was
across the street so I tried for a photo but it is very skittish and flies
the moment I walk towards it. Mike has not seen or heard it.
It could possibly be of wild origin but then again in early May I was
walking down Date street to the north of us and heard several White-winged
Doves in a backyard - I thought from a shed. There was also a large van
with Texas plates there that week. Interesting bird - if it escaped from
captivity would it still be so skittish???
I have lots of Mourning Doves coming in to our yard - am hoping this bird
will join them.
