a short outing to Potholes State Park and Perch Point produced many
regulars, and a few new migrants.

Perch Point:

Clark's Grebe - 2
Western Grebe - 2
Killdeer - many and a nuisance, keeping all of the shorebirds stirred up
Greater Yellowlegs - 1
Spotted Sandpiper - 3 adults
Western Sandpiper - 18 adults (numbers way down from just a few days ago)
Least Sandpiper - 23 adults
Baird's Sandpiper - 1 adult, first of the season.
Black-crowned Night-Heron - 3 adults, 1 juvenile
Great Egret - 1
Great Blue Heron - 1

Potholes State Park

Least Sandpiper - 16
Western Sandpiper - 1
Bullock's Oriole - many, the most I have ever seen at this site. Possibly
20 - 30 individuals
Black-capped Chickadee - 1 calling, not seen
House Wren - 6
Black-headed Grosbeak - 4
