As inland shorebird numbers continue to build the diversity also is becoming
better. Here are the results of a morning search of the northern part of the
county.
Soap Lake East Beach:
Red-necked Phalarope - 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 5
Western Sandpiper - 19
Least Sandpiper - 16
Perch Point, Potholes Reservoir:
Semipalmated Plover - 1
Lesser Yellowlegs - 1
Greater Yellowlegs - 2
SANDERLING - 2 one in breeding plumage and one mostly molted to winter
plumage
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 2
Western Sandpiper - 29
Least Sandpiper - 27
Wilson's Phalarope - 1
