If you regularly need to search the Tweeters archive, the best way is to
download the monthly files from the archive page, decompress them, convert
them to Word documents, and store them on your hard drive or on removable
media. Then you can search for key words as you would on any Word document.
You can even combine them into huge files -- for example, a year's worth --
to reduce the number of haystacks to rummage through looking for your
needle. It helps to have a general idea of the range of dates to search
within.

If you have Mac OSX v.10.4 you do not have to combine the files. Just enter
your key words in Spotlight, then check the results it returns for the
relevant folder or drive. I'm not familiar with the possibilities on the
Windows platform but there must be something analogous out there.
