On Saturday July 23th, Westport Seabirds had a very successfull day! With a packed boat and wonderfull weather, we were able to see many of the target birds and lots of marine mammals. The highlights include the following: good numbers of Black-footed Albatross, one Manx Shearwater, Fork-tailed Storm-Petrel, Leach's Storm-Petrel, Red Phalarope, South Polar Skua, Sabine's Gull, Arctic Tern, Cassin's Auklet and Tufted Puffin.
Mammals seen include, two Humpbacked Whales, two Grampus(Risso's Dolphin), Pacific White-Sided Dolphins, Northern Fur Seal, Elephant Seal, Dall's Porpoise and Harbor Seal.
