I once saw a Brown-headed Cowbird in the Cascade Pass area, elevation appox.
6,000'. My wife and I also saw a small flock flying above a dense forest in
the Blewett Pass area ( boy were they lost!) but that must have been much
lower than 7,000'. I'd say the Slate Peak sighting reached a new height for
cowbird elevations.
