Greetings All

So, stumpy was accepted by the WBRC. May seem a strange decision, and here
are the reasons.

1) When Bob Sundstrom found him in mid-winter, he was identifiable as a first
year bird, and thus more likely a natural vagrant.

2) He arrived during an "invasion" year of Emperor Geese that brought a dozen
or so to WA/OR.

Also note that the Emperor Goose at the Olympic Game Farm preceded EMGO being
reviewed by the WBRC; that bird hung out with a flock of equally-out-of-place
appearing Cackling Geese (about 50 as I remember) -- most (or at least many)
vagrant Emperor Geese are in the company of minima Cackling Geese.

Cheers
