Any purple martins within Washington east of the Cascades are highly
noteable; pretty much all state breeding records are around the Puget Sound
trough and up the Columbia Gorge to the Hood River area. A few observations
of individual martins have been recorded in the Potholes/Moses Lake/Othello
area, in recent years. Any idea of sex or age? Thanks, and keep those
reports coming!

I saw martins in Seattle today that were nest building, ripping leaves from
a madrona tree on lower Elliott Bay.
