May 27, 2005, Friday, 11:58 a.m. Hi, this Kathy Andridge. I am on the
eastside. Outside of Vantage on Huntsinger Road was the YELLOW-BILLED
LOON this morning in non-breeding plumage hanging out with a COMMON LOON
in breeding plumage. That's it. Thanks a lot. Bye.

May 29, 2005, Sunday, 11:37 a.m. Hi, this is Sam Woods. On Tuesday,
May 24 (I apologize for the late notice), two ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHERS
were observed on Vantage Highway at milepost 24. This is about the same
location they reported two years ago. I was with Dave Swayne, Rick
Sanders and John Friars, and they were observing one of the ASH-THROATED
FLYCATCHERS, and about maybe twenty yards away I observed a second
ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER that was checking a BLUEBIRD nesting box. If

May 31, 2005, Tuesday, 9:04 p.m. Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow. Sorry I
haven't been reporting the various eastside birds over the last few
days, but I've posted that via Tweeters. Today, in the blasting wind,
went to Washtucna where the COLLARED DOVE was still prominently singing.
It seems to have settled down. Go to Basset Park. Go up into the
Russian olives that are above the park and, to the north of the park,
work your way over to the edge of the olives so that you're looking down
over some fields and houses below. And the birds have been kind of
working the edge of that open area going from perch to perch, singing
and doing display flights. Also, at Vantage at Basset Park, I had a
singing LEAST FLYCATCHER. And at Iowa Beef I managed to miss the large
group of WHITE-FACED IBIS, but I did have a breeding plumaged
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, and two late GREATER YELLOWLEGS. That's it. Good

June 3, 2005, Friday, 6:46 a.m. Hi, this is Tom Aversa reporting a trip
yesterday out to Eastern Washington. I was looking for migrants and I
didn't find a whole lot, but there was a singing first-year REDSTART at
the Oasis Park at Ephrata.
