Tweeters,

I was out for a walk this morning about 8 am when I was very pleased to hear
a Varied Thrush in the middle of the Magnolia neighborhood. The song was
coming from the large conifers surrounding the perhaps acre property of one
of the older homes on the Western hill. This is approximately 37th Ave W
and W Barrett. It is about 4 long city blocks south of Discovery Park and
an island of mature conifers in a sea of houses. (Again, this is a private
residence but the song is easily heard from the sidewalks a block or two
away.)
