the "Who is It" gallery has been updated with votes as of about noon today,
and votes keep coming in, some from very knowledgeable folk (that i will
hold onto for another week or so, to give everyone their say)...

Photos of the Month has been updated with yesterday's adventure to woodland
park here in seattle; the Butterflies in Bloom exhibit was the secondary
reason i paid my money, primary being the new Willawong Station (Aussie
Parrots)...

i have to say i was somewhat disappointed with Willawong, being led to
believe there would be a larger variety of birds available, when in fact
there were three: about 200 budgerigar, perhaps two dozen grey cockatiels,
and maybe 4-5 rosellas... the greys and rosellas tended to stay "high" near
the ceiling (and thus near the netting)... in such a small enclosure, it
was difficult at best to get useful photos, though i have to admit it was
fun having that many birds fluttering about attempting to feed on everything
from "bird sticks" to fingers to hair...

the Butterflies in Bloom exhibit has never failed to disappoint, though
almost all of last year's butterflies are the same varieties as this year's
crop (so far)... there WAS one luna moth, just emerged from cocoon perhaps
an hour before i arrived, but i was not allowed a better position to
photograph it (it was behind a leaf drying its wings near the shed, where
all you could see from the path was the base of its "tails")...

other updated galleries include: Birds (176 species, 276 images),
Butterflies in Bloom (10 new images), and Sundry Animals (with Sumatran
Tiger, Grizzly and Malaysian Sun Bear)...

i hope you enjoy!
