Greetings tweeters,

This morning's walk rewarded us with a large flock of
cliff swallows gathering mud just behind the
Center for Urban Horticulture. Neither I nor
Helen Gilbert had seen them before so we used
the "Guide to Birds of N. America" CDs for the ID.
The Guide even has a photo of the swallows
in the mud, just as we'd seen.
In flight, the birds shared airspace with some barn
swallows and violet greens.
