Yesterday Carol Ledford and I chatted a bit with two
birders who had just seen a Black-billed Magpie at
Ridgefied NWR near the entrance bridge. They got a
pretty good look at it while it was being harassed by
a Crow. This is a good bird for that location as it
is only listed as accidental in spring and fall at
Ridgefied NWR. Carol and I could not relocate the
bird, so if you are on the Refuge, keep an eye out for
it.
