Tweets,

Saturday morning I spent 3 hours birding S. Thurston County from Weir
Prairie to Tenino. Highlights among the 75 species:
- 9 lowland warblers
- Yellow-breasted Chat 1.3 mi up Vantine Rd NE of Tenino, previously
reported by Bob Sundstrom
- no less than 12 Purple Martin at Weir Prairie (some may have been
fledglings?)
- Bobwhite, C. Quail, R-n Pheasant at Weir Prairie (and a 4-point bull elk
in velvet)
- 2 singing Hermit Warblers at intersection of Military & Rainier Rds

Friday evening I took my wife birding (a rarity indeed) to watch the
nighthawks at sunset at Weir Prairie. She also enjoyed seeing a tanager and
W. Bluebird. Hard to beat!

Good birding!
