Mammals in Northwest Bird Communities

with David Drummond, Research Wildlife Biologist

Northwest birds and mammals have codeveloped in their shared communities over time. This elegantly balanced energy matrix is an intriguing study. We will examine niche overlap and interactions of mammals and birds within their shared forested habitat. Learn haunts, habits, and tracks of mammals via images, handouts, and an all-day field trip to a forested valley in the East Olympics.

Class: Friday, June 24, 7-9 PM
Location: Center for Urban Horticulture, Douglas Classroom
Field trip: Saturday, June 25
Cost $45 members, $65 nonmembers

Thanks!!
