Hi Tweeters and Rachel,

I see them do this a lot. It is a fascinating
behavior. They course Portage Bay looking for
floaters. They remind me a bit of Norther Harriers
coursing a field when they do this. Now is the time
of the year it seems for young fish to make it or
float up. The crows love them. I personally don't
think crows can be beat for all their interesting
behaviors even if I don't like the nest robbing part.
