Hi,
I haven't read tweeters in years but I signed up tonight to report a
short eared owl hunting in discovery park. 8:30 this evening. If you're
walking the loop trail and you come to one of the roads crossing the
trail where going north is the north beach trail but going straight you
go toward "the hidden valley? trail (sorry, sounds like dressing), The
owl was perched on a picnic table in a clearing there. It then circled
and hunted the grass/ blackberry fields and then flew up and perched in
a cedar.
COOL. First shorteared owl i have ever seen in discovery park.
sorry if this bird has been posted frequently already. neat bird and
unflapped by my presence
