This morning TWO families of House Finches visited our feeder. The babies
looked like small versions of the mom finches. What was really cute about
the babies was their remaining down feathers sticking up off the tops of
their little heads! They also begged food from the parent birds and they
also fed themselves. Later today I saw a pair of house finches attempting
to mate for a second clutch.



I guess with the parent birds showing the youngsters we can be assured of
more house finch visits!
