This is the Vancouver Natural History Society's Bird Alert for Thursday,
June 23rd, sponsored in part by the Wild Birds Unlimited stores in Vancouver
and North Vancouver.

Rare bird alert continues for a BALTIMORE ORIOLE.

Sightings for Thursday, June 23

The male BALTIMORE ORIOLE continues along the Grant Narrows nature dyke from
the area with the snags to at times past the observation tower. Also
reported from the area were a GRAY CATBIRD, 2 EASTERN KINGBIRD, a 1st year
AMERICAN REDSTART & an AMERICAN BITTERN

Another EASTERN KINGBIRD was reported from the unusual location of Gilmore &
Stillcreek Ave. in Burnaby. The bird was apparently following the creek
eastward from this location.

Wednesday, June 22

A singing HOUSE WREN was reported from Lily Point at Port Roberts.

The BALTIMORE ORIOLE was observed at Grant Narrows along with a GRAY CATBIRD
& 5 EASTERN KINGBIRDS.

Tuesday, June 21

A 1st year male AMERICAN REDSTART, 1 GRAY CATBIRD, 2 EASTERN KINGBIRDS & 2
SANDHILL CRANE were reported from Grant Narrows.
