I was close enough to another BLACK BEAR that I could smell
it and hear it crashing around in the brush, but I still haven't
seen one. I also saw my first BRUSH RABBIT for the site. I'm
kind of surprised it's taken this long to see one...

I also saw a single PAINTED LADY, not that surprising given the
densities being seen this year, though a butterfly before 08:00
on a coolish morning is always a bit unusual....
