Subject: [Tweeters] Info request: Local Raptor nests

Hi Tweets,

Fledging time for many raptors is already here so I am hoping to gather
together any information you all have about raptor nests in King and
Snohomish counties. I am gathering data with the intention of eventually
sending it on to local Audubons, etc. for conservation purposes. If you
would like to know more about my project you can listen to an online
interview from David Dawson?s ?On the Wing? website.
http://onthewing.libsyn.com The Interview should be in the May archives
along with others about the Grays Harbor Shorebird Festival, etc.

By the way, I am not gathering info on owls ? just hawks, eagles, osprey,
etc. Peregrine Falcon data is already gathered by others, so I don?t need
that either, unless you don?t know who to report that to and would like me
to pass it along.

The most important info is what species you are reporting, where the nest is
and whether it was active this year. Of further importance is the number of
young seen in the nest and fledging dates (even approximations are fine).

Of the 50 nests (approx.) I know of for King County I have very little
current year data. Snohomish County is even more of a data hole. Any help
you lend is really appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Jim Flynn
