This is the Vancouver Natural History Society's Bird Alert for Thursday,
June 30th, sponsored in part by the Wild Birds Unlimited stores in Vancouver
and North Vancouver.

After 10 years of serving as one of the Vancouver Bird Alert operators this
will be my final update as a regular operator. I would like to thank all
those birders who over those years shared and continue to share their
discoveries with the rest of the Birding Community through the Bird Alert.
Although the internet has become a valuable tool to inform birders of
sightings there are still many that rely on the Alert as their main source
for unusual sightings. Anyone thinking of offering his or her time as an
operator should leave a message on the Alert to that affect and someone will
contact you.

The featured bird is HUDSONIAN GODWIT.
