Hi Tweeters,

I tried for the third time to see the Eurasian Collared-Dove in Washtucna
this morning. It found me at about 11:00 after I had searched for about 1
1/2 hours. I was lucky enough to see it preening atop a power pole and got
some good photos of it. They are in the new photos folder on my website.

Other new photos include one of the Northern Mockingbirds in Horn Rapids
Park north of Richland, with insects for the kids (maybe!) in the nest and
a Common Nighthawk roosting in a tree in Washtucna.

While I was at Horn Rapids Park on June 19, both of the Northern
Mockingbirds were catching and carrying insects. Neither seemed to be in
much of a hurry to get back to the nest. They caught a mouthful and
perched in a tree or on top of a power pole for a while. I actually didn't
see either of them go into a bush where a nest might have been.
