Subject: [Tweeters] Swainson's Thrush

Yesterday my family took a stroll through our neighborhood near Green
River Comm College, and despite our faux summer of late, I was stunned
to hear the maniacal laughter of a Swainson's Thrush, repeated over a
five-minute period. The bird turned out to be a lone starling in a
sumac tree. I know starlings are mimics, but it surprised me greatly as
starlings and Swainson's Thrushes wouldn't seem to mix much habitat-wise
nor hang in the same circles, as it were.
