The book "Bird Tracks & Sign" can be very helpful. It's by Mark Elbroch
and is available at Seattle Audubon's Nature Store. It's a fascinating
book that includes all kinds of indicators, from pellets and droppings,
to the way specific species break open nuts and cones, to bird tracks and
feathers, and much more.
