Wed. morning I drove out to Vantage. The TUFTED DUCK is still there
hanging out with the scaups. The park was closed, but the ranger let
me in. Also of note was a california quail, black-billed magpies, a
singing western meadowlark, and other common birds. I thought I saw a
black-throated sparrow in the campgroud, but didn't get a good look at
it.
