Recently there was some discussion of different markings on some siskins.
Yesterday I noticed some on the feeder stump in my yard that had markings
different from each other. I was able to get a photo that, while not the
best, does show the two birds together. The different coloring, the
difference in courseness of breast markings, the face markings and the width
of wing bars are all quite visible. I think they are both Pine Siskins but
have posted them for those who are interested.
