Hi-

This is probably only of interest to those of you who keep lists (ABA,
state, yard, etc.) and who have done some birding while traveling. While in
Costa Rica a couple weeks ago, I identified a number of birds that are
included in the ABA list, but which I had not seen in the ABA area (Roadside
Hawk, Slate-throated Redstart, Masked Tityra, Green Violet-ear et al). It
made me wonder how much my ABA life list would increase if I included ABA
birds I have seen outside of the ABA area. So, just for fun, I calculated
the total when I got home. The extra 84 would give me a pretty respectable
list :) I just thought I'd share this in case anyone else would be
interested in this fun little game.

Good birding
