Brendan McGarry & I had a nice day birding in Eastern Washington including the following highlights:

Cackling Goose - 1 at Steamboat Rock SP, a few at Para Ponds
swan sp. - 11 on Gillis Road, Lower Crab Creek, at least 2 were Tundra
Chukar - 1 on Gillis Road
Greater Sage-Grouse - 14 males & 6 females at the Leahy Junction lek, still displaying at 7:30 when we left
Sandhill Crane - 4800+ off Gillis Road, just East of E SW
Long-eared Owl - 1 at Steamboat Rock SP
Say's Phoebe - 2 along SR155 near Banks Lake
Loggerhead Shrike - 3 on Gillis Road
Violet-green Swallow - 5 at Steamboat Rock SP
Townsend's Solitaire - 1 at Northrup Canyon SP
Tricolored Blackbird - quite a few just North of Para Ponds in a large blackbird flock
