This evening Eric Huston, Simone Cook, and I headed out to Watershed park in Olympia to try our luck at finding some Western Screech Owls. After a bit of walking about, we managed to hear one. While we were unable to see it we listened to it for 15 minutes or so. We tried in vain to discover its physical location but growth over the trail made it difficult for us to see higher up to an alder we thought the bird was calling from. Does anyone know if N. Saw-whets have been seen in the park? Good birding everyone,
