Even with a 180-deg change in the wind (from the north today), it was
clear, warm, and just plain nice at Turning Basin #3. A NORTHERN FLICKER
at the restoration peninsula was the first sighting of a woodpecker here
this year. All the Mew Gulls hanging around on the mudflats is typical
for this time of year, as are the singing Bewick's Wrens and Song
Sparrows.

Heading off to SoCal again for nearly all of next week. Hope to start
regularly reporting from the Duwamish again after this trip.
