Hi Tweeters,

Today I did my non bird related pilgrimmage to the
Quad where the Yoshino cherry trees are in full bloom.
They are spectacular. If you happen to be in this
area over the weekend I would recommend a stop here.
The Quad is smack dab in the middle of the North
Central Campus map which can be brought up by entering
campus map into the home page search guide. Also
interesting info about the trees themselves by
entering Quad cherry trees into the search.

Back to birding, this week at the U along the Portage
Bay waterfront has been a bit slower. The waterfowl
are moving on. Some cool stuff to see though.
Bushtits are nest building at Sakuma Viewpoint Park.
Also Bushtits in a different spot with pollen on their
faces. One mature Bald Eagle flyover. Discovered
Bewick's Wren makes a high pitched almost baby-bird
like call. The crows seem to be getting territorial
but no obvious sign of nestbuilding yet. One crow was
pulling bark off a tree but just dropping it. Misses
were White-crowned Sparrow and Kingfisher, hmmm.
