Hello All,
Today MerryLynn and I had the privaledge of spending time birding from Pomeroy to Asotin Creek. Highlights are.........

Blue Jay.........1 Adult in Pomeroy, same bird we discovered on 21 Oct. 2004. This bird was still at the end of Elm Street at "The Grove" and still with 2 Stellers Jays. Took several photos.

Bohemian Waxwings.........200+ along Elm Street in Pomeroy.

Mountain Chickadees..........2 in Pomeroy at end of Elm Street.

Bewicks Wrens.................2 along Asotin Creek. new site for us with this species.

Mountain Quail..................75 birds, had the awsome opportunity to watch the release of these birds by WDF&W into Asotin County. There is a very small struggling native population already present. So many hope these additional birds will create a long standing, self sustaining population that will give this species a chance for survival in this arid region. No I will not disclose this location.

Barn Owl...............3 birds north of Dayton along HWY 12 at 0530 hrs..

Later Mike
