I saw a total of 3 American Kestrels on the north end of Whidbey Island on
Sunday. 2 were along Crosby Road and a 3rd was near Troxell Road and SR 20.
That's a pretty good total for western Washington! The fields along Crosby
were also hosting my 1st Violet-green and Tree swallows of the year.
I found a Cabbage White butterfly in Oak Harbor on Sunday, the earliest
I've ever seen.
