Mid-March is exceptionally early for this species. In wWA, while breeding
at a few sites, the species is still quite local in the mainland counties
(and not present at all on the OP or coast as a breeder) and arrives among
the last of the spring arrivals--the Marblemount/Corkindale (central Skagit
Co) birds show no sooner than early June. Although I know that elsewhere
regionally some arrive in May (especially latter half May), this is still
well short of mid-March.
