I have been watching all day and the swallows just arrived. They must have been migrating with the male hummers.
COOL!!!

I just spent a marvelous 15 minutes watching the hummers. The male sat on a wire flower post for about 10 mintues and I figured he was waiting for a female. You could see him licking his chops. The female arrived and buzzed a pine siskin away from the thistle feeder, checked it out and then fed and sat in the lilac tree. Both birds just sat there and I figured they must have been checking each other out.
