I thought this might be interesting to some of you. The pictures are
striking. Is this an aberrant Ring-bill? A hybrid (the open wings show a
decidedly light area where there should be black)? or a vagrant?
The bird is located at the North Idaho College beach area of Coeur d Alene
Lake in northern Idaho.

I have put some pictures on the Coeur d'Alene Audubon website
of the gull with the red bill, legs and feet.
There is a 2nd gull with the same coloration but not as bright.
