Hi Tweeters,

Still Greater Scaup in the cut but mostly quiet on the
duck front, not even a Bufflehead all week and I
looked hard. On the other hand I am up to 3 confirmed
Bushtit nests and one other I know about but haven't
seen yet, and a fifth suspected. Crows are actively
setting up nests too. Refurbishing one in a Madrona
tree at Sakuma Viewpoint park not more than 50 feet
from the first Bushtit nest I found. Also a new crows
nest likely soon near the Montlake Bridge, they are
putting sticks on the branch which promptly fall off
the branch. Black-capped Chickadees act like they are
looking for nest sites. Unfortunately there isn't
much for them.
